First Session | It is normal to be nervous about your first therapy session. It can be a signal that this is important to you and a new endeavor. Take time to ground yourself, draft a few notes about what you would like to talk about in therapy and trust the internal guidance that lead you here.
Building Rapport | Trust and vulnerability takes time. In therapy, we are going to build a therapeutic relationship that will help us get to the spaces of concern within you. Weekly sessions help with this. Naturally, resurfacing painful issues can cause emotional distress. It may feel hard before it gets better. Yet, many people experience relief, support and transformation following this initial stage. Therapy can provide us the safe, non-judgmental space we need to gave insight, trust our intuition and set an intention of change.
